INTRODUCTION
VISHWA JEEVAN SEVA SANGHA in short VJSS emerged in the mid 80’s by a team of young activists from a small agro village Saradhapur under Khordha Block of Khordha District. It was founded during the year 1984. The Organization registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 during the year 1987.
A voluntary, not-for-profit, non-religious, non-political, social-organization involved in sustainable development since 1982. The Organization has been implementing multifarious activities. The target groups of beneficiaries are the underprivileged/ neglected like Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled caste children, women in socio economic difficult circumstances like divorcees/ unwedded mothers/ parentless girls, physically challenge, and elderly population.

Sustained change in the standard of poor, marginalized and deprived families of Odisha with ensuring the most transparent, vibrant and participatory development process where equal opportunities and individual human rights achieved by all, diversities be considered as our strength and resource towards our prosperity.
Mission
Empowerment of the people by enhancing their capacities and help them to overcome their multiple needs and disadvantages at grass root level through individual and collective pursuits. Make the disadvantaged groups self sufficient live with healthy, dignity, equality and self-respect. “ EQUITY AND EQUALITY”.
Core Constituencies
Management of Residential School for Scheduled Caste Children at Khordha district since 1994-95 at Nayagarh and at Kaleswar, Management of Residential School for Scheduled Tribe Children at Khordha district since 1998-99, Management of Open Shelter Home for needy children since 2011.

Programs
Education Centre for Children under one roof
It is widely perceived that education is the dire need for economic and social development. It is crucial for building human capabilities and for providing opportunities in different sectors. It is observed that a numbers of students who are orphans were there in different part of Odisha and was leading a very low profile.
Staff Orientation Programme
Training for Teachers of Open Shelter for children in need was organized under the guidance of experts invited as Facilitators . Twelve (12) staffs were trained & encouraged. The Facilitator imparted training on various contexts of ancient education and modern education and the methods to deal with Children in distress.
Promotion of Yoga
VJSS has been extending services of Yoga & Pranayam to the children and inmates residing at CCI. The aim of promoting yoga education is not only to impart knowledge but most important to filter the hidden talents and potentialities of the children and inmates which helps them to develop physically, intellectually, morally, healthy and spiritually.
Organization of Competitions
VJSS organized different competitions for students in order to gain confidence and assess knowledge of the children and inmates and to create a platform for them to share their views and idea make them confident and fearless in different sectors.
Cultural Programme
VJSS organize song and music classes thrice a week for the interested children and inmates in the Education Centre to expose their hidden talents. During the reporting period, we organized Drama and Dance Programmes. Thirty-three children and inmates participated in the programme.
Assessment Tests and Examination
To know the progress of the children and inmates studying at our Centre, we usually conduct Assessment, Unit tests & examination for the students on regular basis. It helps a lot to the Teachers to know the progress of the learners and prepare them accordingly.
