Asha/ Anm Training Under Asha Hbnc Programme:

Under National Rural Health Mission, Home Based New Born Care is being implemented since 2011 for reduction of neonatal mortality in rural areas. The guidelines on Home Based Newborn Care were revised in 2014. Home Based Newborn Care scheme for reduction of neonatal mortality, has incentivized Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) for making visits to all newborns and their mothers according to specified schedule up to 42 days of life. The incentive amounts to a total of Rs. 250 for six visits in case of institutional delivery and seven visits in case of home delivery shall be paid. The operational area of the training are Khoarda, Subarnapur and Mayurbhanja districts, this programme is supported by National Health Mission, Govt., of Odisha. The Organisation recruited Programme coordinator, Data Manager and Resource Persons.

INDUCTION CUM GPDP TRAINING FOR PRI MEMBERS:
The State Institute for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (SIRD & PR), Bhubaneswar was established in 1964 as one of the core distinguished institutions of the country with the objective of becoming a regional training centre in the matter of conducting training programmes in tribal and community development. In the year 1967, Government of Odisha (GoO) took over the charge of the Institute. Presently SIRD & PR is a nodal institute for training, research, evaluation and consultancy in the field of rural development under the aegis of Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department, Government of Odisha, GoO. SIRD & PR organizes various training programmes for elected members of 3-tier PRIs, NGOs and different levels of officials of PR and other line departments both through in-house and off-campus mode. It also develops necessary training curriculum for the participants and develops training modules for various training programmes undertaken in SIRD & PR. It has also undertaken various case-studies, research programmes and action research projects. The training programmes started in Khordha, Mayurbhanja and Subarnapur districts from year 2016-17. The programme supported by Dept. of Panchayatraj & Water Sanitation, Govt. of India, through SIRD-Odisha.

Orientation and Mobility

With a view to acquaint and habituate the inmates, we oriented inmates, children on some important places like market, shops, institutions, bus stops, railway station, schools, offices, etc., and some important habits like road crossing, traffic rules, good behavior & manners, ascending and descending of steps road etc., the home used to organize orientation class and practices under the supervision of the experts engaged for the purpose.
